Are We
The
Kensington Guesthouse is situated in Holland Park which
is one of the nicest areas of London. located two doors
down
from
the Holland Park Tube Station we are minutes away from many
of the main attractions that London boasts.
Within Holland Park itself you will find Japanese gardens,
many beautiful flower walks and an open air theatre. Our location
is also very convenient for shopping on Portobella Road and
Kensington High Street.
A short walk, bus trip or tube ride will provide you with
access to some of the top attractions of London including:
The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, The London Dungeon, Tower
of London, The Original London Tour, World of Wine, Madame
Tussauds, Hampton Court Palace, Westminster Abbey and more
!
Directions
For
your information here is a list of suggested routes to us
from various locations:
VICTORIA STATION
Take the Victoria Line Tube and change at
Oxford Circus onto
the Central Line to Holland Park Station. As you leave the
station turn Left. We are 2 doors from the station on the main
road (same side).
Alternatively take bus 148 from bus stop "S" on Wilton Road
ask for Holland Park Station we are on the opposite side of the
road 2 doors from the station.
HEATHROW
AIRPORT
Take Tube and change at Holborn onto the Central Line
GATWICK
AIRPORT
Take Main Line Gatwick Express single £11 Return £22
change
at Victoria onto the Tube then use the Victoria Line change at
Oxford Circus onto the Central Line to Holland Park Station.
As you leave the station turn Left. We are 2 doors from the
station on the main road (same side).
STANSTEAD
AIRPORT
Take Stanstead Express Train £13 single £26
return (every 15
minutes) to Liverpool Street Station then take Central Line to
Holland Park Station We are 2 doors from the station on the
main road (same side).
LIVERPOOL St. Stn.
Take the Central Line direct to Holland
Park Stn. then as above.
PADDINGTON Stn.
Take Circle or District Line change at
Notting Hill Gate Stn. Onto
the Central Line to Holland Park then as above.
WATERLOO Stn.
Take the Jubilee Line change at Bond Street
for the Central Line
to Holland Park Station. As you leave the station turn Left. We
are 2 doors from the station on the main road (same side).
For your Information we are in Public Transport Zone 2 for £4-10
you can buy a ticket in London after 9-30 which gives unlimited
travel on busses and trains in zones 1&2 (not valid on
the Airbus). The Special Airbus From Heathrow costs £10
single and £15 return
DRIVING
Park on the 2 hour meters which are BEHIND
the station not next to it they only allow 30 minutes others
allow 2 and
some 4 hours (do not park on the other side of the main road
that is more expensive. The current cost of parking at the
time of typing is £2 hour between 8-30 am and 6-30
pm Mon - Fri and on Saturday from 8-30 - 1-30 pm the rest
of the time is free.
For longer term there are 2 car parks within a mile.
If entering London using M4 drive over Hammersmith Flyover
continue for approximately 1 mile. At the very large TESCO
superstore (which is on the left on a corner) turn left into
Warwick Road, continue across 1 main road into Holland Road.
At the end of Holland Road is a roundabout take the 3rd exit
into Holland Park Avenue we are 2 doors past the station
on the left.
If entering using the M40 continue onto the A40 until the
point it becomes the A40(M) at this point take the M41 which
is only half a mile long at the end take the first exit into
Holland Park Avenue we are 2 doors past the station on the
left.
CONGESTION CHARGE
We are not in the congestion charge zone but if you are driving through the very centre of
London you need to be aware that from 7am till 6-30pm there
is a charge

Car Parking
A car is not needed for 99% of journeys you will make while
staying with us we have 24 hour public transport outside
the door also if you drive in London finding a place to park
is a nightmare not to mention the traffic and finding your
way.
